A weekend of fun for the whole family at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch! Events include Rock Climbing Wall, reptile and king snake show, horse rides, BB and Archery target shooting, Scavenger Hunt, Leather Crafts and much more. For an extra fee, Cub Scouts can participate in the Haunted Hayride.

Come join us for a day of outdoor adventure with other new Tiger Cubs and their parent partners. This is a wonderful activity for Tiger Dens or just a Tiger and parent. There will be games, crafts, and many outdoor challenges, so come join the fun and ROAR with the rest of the Tiger Cubs.
The adventure begins at 1:00pm and continues until 5:00pm. Bring an afternoon snack, a water bottle, and comfortable shoes!!
Early Registration: $12 if paid by Wed, Sept 28
Late Registration: $17 if paid after Wed, Sept 28
Fee includes all activity supplies, patches, and insurance.

We will have one last hooray before school starts; so come hang out with your fellow scouts and swap stories about all your summer adventures. Join us for a Back to School Party at Bedford Splash and escape the 107°F day by soaking in the refreshing water. They have slides and swimming areas for all age groups – so bring the whole family.
Admission $5-$7 (we’re working on a discount).
We’ll have water and popsicles.

Join us at the Scout Museum! With over 600,000 artifacts, the museum offers an excellent opportunity to learn about the history and future of scouting in a fun and interactive environment.
We will meet in the main lobby at 2:30pm and take a self guided tour.

We are actively seeking a Popcorn Kernel to spearhead this year’s popcorn selling fundraiser. This is an important job that requires work now through December, but you will always have help. There will be enough engines for each boy to launch their rocket 2 times. You will need to pay for your engines at the launch — they are $2.50 each, so most folks owe $5.
We will start launching at 6, but if you can’t be there right then it’s no problem. Just show up when you can.
Don’t forget that we will be awarding an extra round of engines to the best decorated rockets!
We need 2 more launchers and a fire extinguisher if anyone can volunteer one.
Finally, if you still want to participate but didn’t order a rocket, feel free to pick up a rocket and matching engines at a hobby store and come on out! Most of the boys are making Quest Astra III (skill level 1) rockets. They take an A6-4 engine. The guy at the hobby store will know what you’re talking about.

It’s time for the Pack 850 summertime Rocket Shootout!
Logistics
We build model rockets in June and launch them in July. The Pack provides the model rockets and you will need to pay for the rocket engines (which you can order through me).

Order your rocket engines from me by June 20. They are about $2 each. Maximum of 2. You can pay me at the shootout.
Rocket Workshop Sunday, June 12, 1-3 PM at HTCS
We’ll have a Rocket Workshop on Sunday June 12th from 1-3 at HTCS where you can work with “the experts” to build your rocket. While your Scout builds his rocket you can attend the annual Pack planning meeting – conveniently located at the same place starting at 2pm! This is a come-and-go thing. It should take your Scout about 45 minutes to build their rocket. If you can’t make the workshop, you can still have a rocket and build it on your own.
Rocket Shootout in July (date and fire-proof location TBD)
The big shootout will be in July – we will figure out the best date at the annual planning meeting
If you can’t be at the Shootout, that’s OK. You can still build a rocket (and we might even be able to help loan you a launcher to do on your own with your Cub).
There will be a contest for the best decorated rockets. The winning Scouts get an extra set of engines to launch their rockets a second time!

• I need 3 rocket launchers and a fire extinguisher for the launch. Email me if you can loan any of that to us for launch day.

Shooting times are every 20 minutes. You must arrive at the range no later that 15 minutes prior to you scheduled shooting time. There will be a safety briefing the is required prior to shooting.
